SportzTrakr SMS Messaging Disclosure

1. Program Names

SportzTrakr Account Verification (one-time verification codes)
SportzTrakr Game Alerts (game offer and reminder texts, for eligible people who turn them on)

2. Program Purpose

Account Verification: SportzTrakr sends a one-time verification code when you sign in with two-step sign-in or add or change your phone number. We send it only when you ask for it.

Game Alerts: if you have a verified phone number and turn on "Text (SMS) Notifications", SportzTrakr texts you when an assignor offers you a game and when a reminder is due about an offer or an assignment you have to answer. Game alert texts are for people 18 and older. A teen aged 13 to 17 can get them only when a parent or guardian is linked to the teen's account and approves them first. No one under 13 gets them. A linked parent or guardian can switch them off for the teen's account at any time. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not text about family, team or link-request events.

3. Use Case

Verification codes are used for two things:

• Two-factor authentication (2FA) sign-in — when you sign in to SportzTrakr with 2FA enabled, we send a one-time code to your verified phone number.
• Phone number verification — when you add or change your phone number in account settings, we send a one-time code to confirm the number belongs to you.

Game Alerts

• Game offers — when an assignor offers you a game (and again if the offer is re-sent, or you are next in line after another official declines).
• Reminders — when 24 hours are left to answer an offer, a final reminder before it closes, and when 24 hours and 1 hour are left to respond to an assignment.

4. How to Opt In

Verification codes

SMS opt-in at SportzTrakr is an explicit, three-step process inside the app. You retain control at every step and may decline at any time without losing access to the rest of SportzTrakr.

1. Reach the verification screen. Navigate to Account Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication, or to Profile → Phone Number, and enter the mobile phone number you want to enroll.
2. Tick the consent checkbox. A checkbox labeled "I agree to receive SMS verification codes from SportzTrakr to the phone number above" is presented, unchecked by default. You must affirmatively check this box to proceed.
3. Tap "Send Code". The button is disabled until the consent checkbox is ticked. Tapping it triggers a single verification SMS from SportzTrakr to the number you entered.

If you do not tick the consent checkbox, no SMS will ever be sent. You can still use SportzTrakr — email-based two-factor authentication and unverified phone-number storage remain available.

You must be signed in to your own SportzTrakr account to enroll. We do not collect phone numbers via web forms, landing pages, third-party lists, or purchased data. We do not share collected phone numbers with affiliates or third parties for marketing purposes.

What the in-app consent UI looks like

For audit purposes, the SportzTrakr in-app consent screen reproduces in HTML below. The same visual + behavior ships in our React Native app on iOS, Android, and web at https://sportztrakr.com/phone-add and at Profile → Security → Two-Factor Authentication (within an authenticated SportzTrakr account).

The checkbox is unchecked by default. The "Save & Continue" button is visually disabled (aria-disabled=true, opacity reduced, pointer-events disabled) until the user affirmatively ticks the consent checkbox. The "Skip for now" link lets the user dismiss the screen and continue using SportzTrakr without enrolling in SMS.

Game Alerts

Game Alerts are off until you turn them on yourself. In the app, go to Profile, find Text (SMS) Notifications in the notification settings, and switch it on. The wording below is shown beside the switch before you turn it on. Who can get these texts is set out under Game Alerts above, and the text goes only to a phone number you have verified. Turning it on is your choice and is not needed to use SportzTrakr.

6. Message Frequency

Verification codes: one SMS per verification request. You receive one only when you tap "Send Code." Typical volume is 0–2 messages per month.

Game Alerts: frequency varies with how many offers and assignments you have. For an offer you may get the offer, a reminder when 24 hours are left, and a final reminder before it closes; for an assignment, reminders when 24 hours and 1 hour are left to respond. There are no marketing or bulk messages.

7. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. SportzTrakr does not charge for SMS messages.

8. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out of SportzTrakr SMS at any time:

• Reply STOP to any SportzTrakr text. Twilio stops texts from that number to yours, and the setting in the app turns itself off the next time we try to text you. Reply START to receive them again, then turn the setting back on in the app.
• Turn off "Text (SMS) Notifications" in the app (Game Alerts only).
• Remove your phone number from your SportzTrakr account in Account Settings.
• Email us at support@sportztrakr.com and we will remove your number.

9. How to Get Help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any SportzTrakr text to receive a response with contact information. You may also email support@sportztrakr.com at any time.

10. Third-Party Disclosure

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are shared only with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, for the sole purpose of transmitting our texts on our behalf (verification codes and, once available, Game Alerts). Phone numbers and opt-in data are never sold, rented, or shared with affiliates or third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
